Booking Appointments with the Doctors
Routine 10 minute appointments can be made by telephone or in person. If you wish to see a particularGP then you may have to wait a few days. You can also request an advance appointment, which is bookable weeks in advance if you need to plan ahead. Longer appointments for gynaecological problems can also be requested.
If you have an urgent problem the receptionist will give you a triage appointment where the GP or Nurse Practitioner will ring you back to assess your problem and give you a same day appointment if required.
During surgery hours ring the usual number. The receptionist will inform the doctor and they will assess your emergency and may arrange emergency hospital admission or an ambulance if this is more appropriate.
There are additional appointments every morning for telephone consultations (4 – 5 slots per GP).
