The treatment room is staffed by nurses provided by Newry and Mourne Trust and is shared amongst 3 practices. It is therefore very busy and can only deal with patients who have been given a referral note or blood forms.
There is a numbers system in place and these are stored on the back wall of the waiting room. Please lift a number when you arrive and the nurse will call you in turn.
Ear syringing is done on a Friday afternoon by appointment only. The receptionist keeps the appointment book and you must have a note from the doctor and have used olive oil or wax softener 5 days before.
Nurse Malone runs he treatment room in Camlough.
If you require a doctor after 18:00 on weekdays or during the weekend ring 028 38399201.
Please restrict these calls to genuine urgent problems that cannot wait until the following morning.
The receptionist will take your telephone number and a doctor will ring you back. This doctor does not have access to your medical records and therefore your own GP is the best person to assist you with non-urgent problems.
The doctor will give you advice or ask you to attend the base. House visits can only be provided for genuine medically bed bound patients. In some cases the doctor may arrange an ambulance to take you directly to hospital.
