Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Unfortunately, due to an increased workload, the doctors are unable to do as many home visits as might have been done in the past.  They will however make a home visit to those patients who are unable to come to the surgery because of severity of their illness or because of their disability.

Requests for home visits should be made before 11:00 if possible.  This allows the doctor to plan their calls efficiently.  Please be prepared to give some information about your condition to the receptionist to allow the doctor to judge the urgency of the call.  Please ensure you give the correct address.  If it is possible for you to attend the surgery, please do so.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
